Building a business doing more of what you love

Building your business takes strategy, focus, and determination. It does not need to take years to create, but it could if you do not get specific on where you visualize your business to be, it may take longer then you would like. How many of you are feeling like you are on auto-pilot or unexcited to go to work? It happens to many of us when we build out of desperation. In the beginning, we take everyone as our client. Then after experience and education, we gain clarity of the things we enjoy and feel most passionate about.

Building a business doing more of what you love

Visualize

We first need to visualize our desired business and life. Dig deep and get specific on how this shift looks and feels. Create a vision board or Pinterest board of words and images of your new branded business model. We need to manifest this desire to come to fruition.

Social Media

What does our social media presence representing? If you do not have a social media presence, it is time to start. Build and create your brand so new and existing clients can see your work. If someone goes to your page, would they be able to tell what your business focus is? The second part of social media is the content that you are creating for your readers. Instead of #happyFriday, we need to buckle down on our specialty and think of all the ways we can educate our fans on the services and or products we offer. It needs to be a relevant copy. Now more than ever, consumers are thirsty for knowledge and results.

Visible

Are the conversations you have with others spotlighting your specialty? Does the community know about you and what you do? It would be best if you were standing at the top of the mountain shouting about your specialty. It is a big deal! Be a big deal! During consultation and services you offer, the networking events you go to everyone in the room should know about your specialty. Your current fans should be telling e everyone and advertizing for you so that you may gain more referrals too.

Focus

Once you discover or select a focus, it's time to make a massive shift to building a business we love. I challenge you to choose one thing and go all in! This one thing needs to be extremely important to you. I would recommend that it is something that gives excellent results for your customers and is a service that is of demand.

How do we make this massive shift? We need to analyze five areas of our business, so it reflects this new desire:

  1. Mindset

  2. Online presence

  3. Content

  4. conversations

  5. Education
